Did You Miss It?
This past weekend my wife and I attended a large youth event in DFW with some of the teens from our congregation. T3 Commission is a Friday-Sunday event that is jam-packed with great Bible teaching. All of the sessions I attended were great and gave me a lot of things to think about. Here is one thing that caught my attention…
Part 1: The Test
Have you taken this attention test before? If so, you can skip to part 2. If not, you should watch this short video and see if you can achieve the test objective.

How did you do?
This clever advertisement for cycle awareness reminds us that there is always something more to find. You could watch this video several times and not absorb all the content. You can count the passes for the white team and then the black team. You can watch for the moonwalking bear. You can observe hairstyles, number of women and men, and so much more.
Part 2: Application
The Bible is always revealing something new to us as well. When we are young it reveals a certain level of understanding based on our life experiences and knowledge. As we age and learn more about life, various passages take on new importance. In the various transitions of life we observe new things in the Bible that we simply didn’t recognize were there even though we have read through it so many times. God’s word doesn’t change but we sure do.
I think I am enjoying the Dinnertime Devotionals series even more with this concept in mind. Families gathering together to study short concise verses and glean from them as a family. Mom and Dad are going to see things in a passage that a child doesn’t. But a child will see things that Mom and Dad miss. As we strive as families to learn more about God, let’s make sure we don’t miss the very important things He is wanting to reveal to us in His word. >>> Dinnertime Devotionals 7
