Dad is Back!
Almost two years have FLOWN by since I have written a post on Dad is Learning. I have missed it badly! For quite a while I’ve had the desire to get back to writing weekly posts but those dreams never surfaced into reality. I have purposed to set aside some time each week to write a new post.
My blog has always lacked a specific focus, by design. It tended to follow along with my varied interests and pursuits. Some of that will remain but I will also try to stay on the topic – Dad is Learning! Quite a few things have changed in my life over the last few years and I have a new set of experiences to share. Our girls have gotten older, my side business has grown, my ministry has matured, and I’m even the PTA President at the school where our girls go! I’ll write about all these things and more in the coming weeks and months.
To those of you who have been with me for quite a while, THANK YOU for sticking around all these years! Many of you are friends or acquaintances I have made throughout the years. More and more I have realized the distinct blessing of positive, encouraging people in my life. To those of you who are new here, thanks for popping in and I hope you find something of interest and get involved in the conversation.
The first ‘real’ new post for the blog will be next Wednesday and will be an update on my walking and working lifestyle, the treadmill desk. A novelty that many of my friends are entertained by, my treadmill desk is a very enjoyable part of my workday. Lots of people have found the Dad is Learning blog via a Google search on the topic, so I thought it would be a good place to start. I’ll even include a bit about the sit and stand desks that I use in the Dad Shack, where I’m writing this post.
I look forward to once again sharing some things I’ve learned and hope to hear from you often! Till next week…
So glad you are back.
Thanks Joyce! I’m looking forward to getting back to it.
Welcome Back! Looking forward to reading Dad Is Learning! Always very informative.
I have missed these posts and are so glad you are doing them again.
Welcome back. I found it interesting that you are P.T.A. president. I, too, was president when my oldest son was in third grade.
That was quite an experience. Expect parents to call your home, come to your house, and ask some really weird questions.
I was elected again the next year but my husband was transferred and we moved to a different town. I really believe the good
Lord was looking after me. LOL. You will make a good one. Good luck! Sylva
